Microsoft Windows: Vista SP1 and XP SP3 Pre-Betas Released To Small Group Of Testers

Over the past couple of weeks there have been a lot of speculation as to when Microsoft would be releasing early builds of the much anticipated Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) to testers outside the realm of Microsoft. Well that day has come and gone, Microsoft released the pre-beta code to a very small and select group of testers. While little is known what new features the Service Packs will bring to the respective operating systems I can tell you of a couple things that will be changing in the first Windows Vista Service Pack. Windows Vista: My Top Five Features

If I were to be asked “What are my favorite features of Windows Vista?” I would probably say:

1. Windows Flip 3D

While the “Live Previews” are nice and bring a new way to find what window you want, nothing is better than being able to quickly find the open window that you want faster, with Flip3D you can easily flip through your windows, whether it be five windows or 20 windows. When I use Flip3D I can find what program or window I want faster than was possible in the previous version of Windows.
