Firefox 3.0: A Short Analysis

Since it’s release, Firefox 3.0 has gotten a lot of reviews and a lot of press, this mainly due to the product being shipped and Mozilla Corp. trying to set a world record.

The question is what makes Firefox 3.0 much more important and the answer to that is simple. After using firefox 3.0 for a couple of days, I have gotten used to it’s quirks and it’s much improved memory management. The browser itself is much faster, much more pleasing to look at now that it finally matches the GUI of Windows Vista, In addition it has some great new features.

Is Office "14" the final name for the next version of Microsoft Office?

No, Office "14" is only a codename, the final name for the product will be decided later in the development cycle.

When will Office "14" ship?

Microsoft plans to release Office "14" in the first half of 2009, about to years after the consumer launch of Office 2007.

What about the beta?

Microsoft is planning to ship Office "14" beta 1 in the first half of 2008 and Office "14" beta 2 in the second half of 2008.
