Firefox 3.0: A Short Analysis

Published on: June 27th, 2008 @ 6:19 AM PDT by William Johnson  |

Since it’s release, Firefox 3.0 has gotten a lot of reviews and a lot of press, this mainly due to the product being shipped and Mozilla Corp. trying to set a world record.

The question is what makes Firefox 3.0 much more important and the answer to that is simple. After using firefox 3.0 for a couple of days, I have gotten used to it’s quirks and it’s much improved memory management. The browser itself is much faster, much more pleasing to look at now that it finally matches the GUI of Windows Vista, In addition it has some great new features.

The new and improved features of Firefox 3.0:

  • Better memory handling
  • Elegant User Interface
  • Faster Browser
  • Smart Bar
  • Easier navigation using the BACK button
  • Better browsing history management

In general, Firefox 3.0 is a great browser compared to the likes of it’s successor Firefox 2 which was riddled with poor memory handling and other caveats.
